Cat comes from a diverse employment background, with a video production degree and years in the Film and Television industry as well as 4 years in the non-profit sector working with justice-involved individuals. During their work in non-profit, Cat was able to work with people from all walks of life and support their re-entry into employment and the community after incarceration. However, Cat could tell that being behind a desk wasn't for them. Farming gives Cat the incredible opportunity to connect their love for being outdoors, social justice, and food! 

Cat is proud to be working within Urban Harvest's mission of creating an equitable food system designed to bring communities together.  They are excited to grow food for the people in this amazing city, and fight for food justice.  Cat's passion for people comes from an understanding of their privilege and disdain for the barriers put in place by systems meant to keep people racially and socioeconomically divided. Cat is currently also attending St. Louis Community College to obtain an associates degree in applied science/ Horticulture. See you in the garden!
