Volunteer With Us
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Urban Harvest STL! Volunteers play an essential role in ensuring that our farms are healthy and thriving so that we can meet our mission of growing fresh produce for those in our community who lack access to healthy options in their neighborhoods.
Please visit our volunteer portal to find out more and to sign up. Ongoing farm opportunities throughout the week April through October. Volunteers also needed for long term positions and special events.
Things change from time to time. The weather may impact our ability to work outside, we may need to change locations, etc. To facilitate proper communication with individual volunteers, we require groups to provide us a roster of attendees with individual email addresses at least 7 days prior to the volunteer event.
Our volunteer schedule is based on the availability of our farmers, tasks to be completed, and resources available. If you are interested in a group volunteer project outside of the opportunities posted in the volunteer portal, we request a $20 per person donation to support addition staff time and materials. Please email volunteer@urbanharveststl.org to inquire about availability.

There is always general farming chores like planting, digging, mulching, harvesting, etc depending on the time of year. Throughout the season, special projects may be scheduled. The farm staff will reach out to volunteers a few days before the volunteer shift to provide more information about the activity.
